Broadening specific competencies

What is needed for a successful change depends, to a high degree, on the individual. Sometimes, broadening a specific competency is a reasonable building block to reach the desired goal.

In our BCA Topic Workshops, our BCA expert coaches provide you with concrete solutions to specifically strengthen particular competencies of your employees. For this, we fall back on practice-proven concepts that we customise and supplement according to the desires and needs of our clients. All of our workshop formats are also available in English.

As our aspiration is to effect consistently sustainable change for our clients through our work, we always place great emphasis on a “dash” of change competence alongside professional input and practice.

WS01 — Success factor: everyday feedback

Feedback – made easy!

Within the framework of the workshop, the participants are shown how feedback can be targeted as an opportunity within a structure / within an organisation and easily integrated into everyday situations. Addressing and vocalising matters, that are “there“ anyway, provide an appreciative and good working relationship and communication among one another. Using feedback targeted as an everyday instrument results in matters being clarified and disturbances being kept “minor“. By doing so in a workshop, we establish a basis for an easy and sustainable feedback culture in which it is possible to provide timely responses. Thereby, processes are initiated more quickly and can go efficiently into the implementation phase. Interpersonal cooperation becomes transparent, honest and appreciative; the processes are further set in action to target the interest of the company.

Main focus:

  • To create an awareness for feedback
  • To provide / take impulses on feedback
  • Feedback that performs – the 4 W’s of providing feedback
  • Self-perception and the perception of others
  • Exercises on providing / taking feedback
  • Personal commitment: What do I take on that’s different beginning with today?

Target group:

An organisation’s specialists and executives who learn feedback as a matter of course for their professional and management day-to-day and want to optimise working relationships.

Benefits:

Participants change their attitude towards feedback and learn to appreciate its advantages. They will experience how much more efficiently things can be set in action when they are „simply put into words“.

WS04 — As a manager, make changes possible!

BE A CHANGE MAKER and make your employees become change experts, too!

Which boss doesn’t know this situation: in times of change, getting every possible employee on board – a major challenge. The basic pre-requisite for this to succeed is to work on your own process competence and inner attitude as a boss. So, only when you, yourself, are on board, can you support others to overcome a lethargic attitude and open themselves up to a “count me in” attitude. Various personalities among the employees require various approaches and ways of addressing them. It often seems easy with the “positive do-ers and visionaries“ whereas dealing with the “wait-and-see sceptics“ or even the “blockers“ is a totally different experience. How can a boss position himself / herself to awaken trust, to get as many employees on board as possible and to help them develop into change experts?

Within the framework of the workshop, managers learn to manoeuvre themselves into a good position for change processes to take place and to support others to positively participate in change processes. The content and tools of the workshop are made tangible and sustainably anchored for the participants through practical exercises and reference examples. Individual feedback strengthens their personal learning success.
The managers can transfer and directly integrate the newly gained understanding and experience into everyday situations upon completion of the workshop.

Main focus:

  • As a manager, become a change maker.
  • Recognise your own expectations, attitudes and leveraging effect.
  • Work on your own inner attitude – all the way to a change expert.
  • Dealing with the various types of employees
  • Favourable and unfavourable wording, solution-oriented language
  • Recognising, on the basis of language / body-language, how open / unopen / engaged one is.
  • Exercises and feedback

Benefits:

Participants learn to develop an extended thought process in order to become more systemically effective in times of constant change.
